DAY 01 : ANGKOR TOUR
Morning tour 08:00AM:
Meet our guide at hotel, start touring to the south gate of Angkor Thom, the royal capital of the Khmer empire of the late 12th century, Bayon temple, built by the great king Jayavaraman VII, with 54 towers each with 4 huge faces to reflect the Buddhist and Hindu influence of the time. See the intricate bas-relief carvings depicting life and battles. Just shortly walking, Baphoun temple, Phimeanakas temple,
Terrace of Elephant and Terrace of Leper King, lunch time (own account).
Afternoon Tour: After lunch you will visit world heritage of Angkor Wat, learn about the Khmer life of this period. Stroll through the vast hallway lined with thousands of intricate stone craving that depict the life and battles of the Khmer empire and also discover many small shines still used every day by the local people and continue to visit Ta Phrom temple, this temple is considered to be one of the jewels, with it overgrown jungle trees giving it a haunting and relaxing atmosphere and also well-known because this temple featured in the Hollywood movie ’Tomb Raider”, proceed to visit the sunset views at Pre Rub temple, back to hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.
DAY 02 : TONLE SAP-CITY TOUR
Morning tour 08:00AM:
Meet our guide at hotel, start touring to Artisan d’ Angkor (art school) which is famous for its traditional craft products such as stone carving, wood carving, lacquering, gilding, and silk processing. Then, proceed to visit Angkor Silk Farm and learn all about silkworm harvesting techniques, the silkworm breeding process, all of these workshop are not private enterprises but they were run by NGO enterprise in order to help create career to local people who are living at remote area, back to visit the Killing field of Wat thmey pagoda where had settled the bone of victim, was killed in Pol Pot regime in 19775-1979, lunch time (own account), back to hotel for a short relax and freshen up.
Afternoon Tour: Visit local market of Phsa Chas, scroll around it to see many souvenirs such as stone carving, wood carving, clothes…..display selling by local venders, you will be out for a visit by private boat, you will discover the great lake Tonle Sap: real Interior Ocean where there are a lot of fish which exported by the multiple villages of fishermen which is commonly call Chong Khneas floating village and you have got the occasion to approach. You will visit as well a fish & Crocodile Farms and wait for sunset over the Tonle Sap Lake, back to hotel. Overnight at Siem Reap.
DAY 3: SIEM REAP-KOMPONG THOM TOUR
Morning tour 08:00AM:
Meet our guide at hotel, Proceed to Kompong Thom by private coach, around 3 hours to the newly listing UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sambo Prei Kuk. Reach the temples and meet your local community guide and take us to have a simple lunch at community restaurant (own account).
Afternoon Tour: After lunch, you will be greeted by your host family and check-in at community homestay. The homestay is a traditional Cambodian house and you will share the house with your host family in a private room, it will be an unforgettable and unique experience with your guide assistance, you can enjoy some interaction with the host family and learn about way of life of the local. Then visit local market and see fresh for the day. Learn more about local cooking ingredient. Then take ox-cart around the community along the paddy fields, local people houses and see daily life of the local people. Overnight in Kompong Thom.
DAY 4: KOMPONG THOM-PHNOM PENH TOUR
Morning tour 06:30AM:
Today wake up early like local people and enjoy hosted breakfast at homestay. Then say goodbye to your host and set out to the newly listing UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sambo Prei Kuk. Reach the temples and meet your local community guide who will explain to you about temple history as well as the community tourism project. Sambor Prei Kuk is Cambodia’s oldest temple site dating back to the 6th century and pre-dates Angkor Wat by more than 500 years. Yet the site remains remarkably well preserved and it was recently listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site, lunch at local restaurant near temple (own account).
Afternoon Tour: After lunch leave from Kompong Thom to Phnom Penh by private coach, upon arrival Phnom Penh, check in hotel. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
DAY 5: PHNOM PENH TOUR
Morning tour 08:00AM:
Meet our local professional guide at hotel, start touring to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda; two of the most striking buildings in the capital and considered as some of the finest examples of Khmer architecture. They were initially constructed in 1866 by the French. The Royal Palace is home to the current King Sihamoni. The neighboring Silver Pagoda stands out in its own distinctive way. Continue visiting to the National Museum, designed in Khmer style by a French archaeologist and painter in 1917. The museum houses Khmer art and sculptures from different periods of Cambodian history, Independent monument, King Sihanouk statue , lunch time (own account), back to hotel for a short relax and freshen up.
Afternoon Tour: Visit Toul Sleng Museum where is a former of Tuol Svay Prey High School was taken over by Pol Pot’s security forces and turned into a prison known as Security Prison 21 (S-21) and it soon became the largest center of detention and torture in the country. S-21 has been turned into the Tuol Sleng Museum, which serves as a testament to the crimes of the Khmer Rouge in 1975-1979, Wat Phnom at the end of the day. The pagoda is Phnom Penh’s namesake from where you can enjoy views of the city’s tree-lined avenues, enjoy shopping for souvenir or try some street food (own account) with visit to the art-décor Central Market, Evening take in fresh air and local life with stroll along the Mekong River bank. You might go to rooftop of one of the restaurants on the riverside to enjoy sunset cocktail (own account) with a back drop of the sun descending over the Tonle and Mekong rivers, back to hotel. Overnight in Phnom Penh. End of Service.
* Please kindly wear in properly dressing for ruin temple visiting, if you wear short and T-shorts should be make sure they are long enough to be knee and shoulder covered. There are no scarf or shawl or umbrella and tank top are allowed.
* In case, we are on the tour, please take camera recharger or power bank be with you when we have lunch or dinner, you can recharge it at restaurant. Moreover, you can take sun cream, sun glasses, mosquito repellent be with you during a tour.
* In Cambodia, there are two currencies (Cambodia Riel & US dollar, 1US = 4000Riels) to be used in buying something, you are no need to exchange your money US dollar to Cambodia Riel, US dollar is acceptable everywhere but no torn old, dirty cash or coin can’t use in Cambodia and you withdraw your money in USD cash from ATM.
